BOOTLEG SERIES VOLUME 5~ROLLING THUNDER REVUE The release of #5 is heavenly! Of course we have all heard most of this already but the quality of these discs is incredible. And even though we have all seen the performances included on the DVD it's great to see those blue eyes so clear. But, I must say the booklet is really wonderful. I haven't read Ratso's book but this certainly is an encouragement to do so. The writing is great and the photos, some of which we haven't seen, are all but perfect. I'm pleased with this series and I look forward to what we all know as "All Hallows Eve" in 2003. |

ENJOY.... ....some of my favorite images from The Rolling Thunder Revue era.... |

BEAUTIFUL This is artwork from a bootleg. He just looks as if he is stroking his guitar ever so gently as to a lover or a precious child. Oh yes, I must get a bit dramatic, ya'all! |

GET WITH IT, BABY! Don't ya' love that hat, man? I just can't get enough of that look. Does that make me totally shallow? Hee-Hee!!!! Seriously though...I think Bob not only looks great during this period of time but I think his singing and performing were at the height of it all. He interacted with the players and the audience in a way unlike we've ever seen until now, I think. We don't hear Bob say a lot these days by way of "speaking" during the shows but he certainly seems to be more giving to both his band and his audience at this point. His performances today in my opinion, rival his best performances during The Rolling Thunder Revue. |
